- 250g all-purpose flour
- 100g ground almonds
- 200g butter, softened
- 100g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add the flour and ground almonds, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Shape the dough into small crescent shapes.
- Place the cookies on ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool slightly on the baking sheets before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- While the cookies are still warm, dust them generously with powdered sugar.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
- For a richer flavor, use browned butter.
- The cookies can be frozen for up to 2 months.
