- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions

- Slice the croissants in half lengthwise, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on the inside of each croissant half.
- Place two slices of ham on the bottom half of each croissant.
- Add two slices of Swiss cheese on top of the ham.
- Close the croissant by folding the top half over the cheese and press down gently.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Brush the melted butter mixture generously over the top of each croissant.
- In another small bowl, beat the egg to create an egg wash and brush it over the top of each croissant.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the assembled croissants on it, leaving space between each.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Monitor closely during the last few minutes to prevent over-browning; cover loosely with aluminum foil if necessary.
- Let the croissants cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet.
- If using, sprinkle fresh parsley over the croissants for garnish.
- Serve warm, perfect for brunch, lunch, or as a snack!
