  • Author: Maria
  • Total Time: 40-45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

These baked pork chops are marinated in a savory blend of chicken broth, Dijon mustard, and honey, then seared and baked to juicy perfection. Ideal for both weeknight dinners and special occasions, they are flavorful and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Let the pork chops sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper. Drizzle olive oil over the pork chops and rub the spice mixture all over them.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together chicken broth, Dijon mustard, and honey.
  5. Place the seasoned pork chops in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal or cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (up to overnight).
  6. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Pour the marinade into the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  9. Remove from the oven and let the pork chops rest in the skillet for 5 minutes.
  10. Transfer the pork chops to a serving platter and drizzle with pan sauce.
  11. Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired.
  12. Enjoy with your favorite sides like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a salad.

Notes

  • Choose the Right Cut: Bone-in pork chops are recommended for juiciness and flavor. Adjust cooking time for boneless chops.
