Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash together the bananas, sugar, and butter.
- Stir in the eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and texture.
- Don’t overmix the batter; mix until just combined.
- Add chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) for extra crunch.
- For a richer flavor, use melted butter instead of oil.
