- 2 cups water

- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Ice cubes (for iced version)
- Edible flowers or mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Boil 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan.
- Remove from heat and add 2 tablespoons of dried butterfly pea flowers.
- Let steep for 10-15 minutes for a rich blue color.
- Strain the tea into a heatproof container and discard the flowers.
- For iced tea, cool to room temperature and refrigerate until chilled.
- In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of your chosen milk over medium-low heat.
- Stir occasionally to prevent scorching.
- Add 1-2 tablespoons of sweetener and stir until dissolved.
- Optionally, add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Heat until steaming but not boiling, then remove from heat.
- For a hot latte, pour warm butterfly pea flower tea into a large mug halfway.
- Slowly pour warm milk into the mug with the tea.
- For an iced version, fill a glass with ice cubes, pour chilled tea halfway, and add sweetened milk on top.
