- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Lemon wedges for serving
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Cut the salmon into sticks, about 1 inch wide and 3-4 inches long. Season with salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of smoked paprika.
- Set up a breading station:
- In a shallow bowl, add the flour.
- In a second shallow bowl, whisk the eggs.
- In a third shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Bread the salmon sticks:
- Dip each stick in flour, then in the egg mixture, and finally roll in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- In a large skillet, heat enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom of the pan over medium-high heat.
- Fry the salmon sticks in batches for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Use tongs to flip gently.
- Transfer cooked salmon sticks to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve warm with lemon wedges and optional chopped parsley. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!
