Description

These Sweet and Savory Kielbasa Bites are a delicious appetizer featuring tender kielbasa cooked in a mouthwatering sauce of barbecue, honey, and soy. Perfect for parties or game days, they are easy to prepare and guaranteed to impress your guests!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound of kielbasa sausage, sliced into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup of barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Slice the kielbasa sausage into bite-sized pieces, about 1-inch thick.
  2. Measure out the barbecue sauce, honey, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard.
  3. In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  4. In a medium bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, honey, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard until well combined.
  5. Stir in the dry spice mixture until fully incorporated.
  6. Set your crock pot to low heat (or high if you’re short on time).
  7. Place the sliced kielbasa into the crock pot, spreading them out evenly.
  8. Pour the prepared sauce over the kielbasa and stir gently to coat.
  9. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, stirring halfway through.
  10. Ensure the kielbasa is heated through and tender. For a thicker sauce, cook uncovered on high for an additional 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  11. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top before serving.
  12. Serve with toothpicks or small skewers on a platter, drizzling extra sauce over the top.
  13. Best served warm, pair with crunchy veggies or chips.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
  • These kielbasa bites can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for easy reheating.
