Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of kielbasa sausage, sliced into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup of barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1/2 cup of honey
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Slice the kielbasa sausage into bite-sized pieces, about 1-inch thick.
- Measure out the barbecue sauce, honey, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard.
- In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- In a medium bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, honey, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard until well combined.
- Stir in the dry spice mixture until fully incorporated.
- Set your crock pot to low heat (or high if you’re short on time).
- Place the sliced kielbasa into the crock pot, spreading them out evenly.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the kielbasa and stir gently to coat.
- Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, stirring halfway through.
- Ensure the kielbasa is heated through and tender. For a thicker sauce, cook uncovered on high for an additional 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top before serving.
- Serve with toothpicks or small skewers on a platter, drizzling extra sauce over the top.
- Best served warm, pair with crunchy veggies or chips.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
