  • Author: Maria
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings 1x

Description

Cool off with these refreshing Frozen Mojitos, a delightful mix of mint, lime, and rum, perfect for summer days or parties. This slushy cocktail is easy to prepare and can be customized with your favorite fruits for an extra twist!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh mint leaves, packed
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice (about 810 limes)
  • 1 cup white rum
  • 1/2 cup simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups ice cubes
  • Mint sprigs, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by washing the fresh mint leaves thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities.
  2. Gently pat the mint leaves dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
  3. Cut the limes in half and juice them using a manual or electric juicer. Strain the juice to remove any seeds or pulp.
  4. In a small saucepan, combine equal parts of sugar and water (1/2 cup each).
  5. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar completely dissolves (about 3-5 minutes).
  6. Remove from heat and let the simple syrup cool completely. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
  7. In a blender, add the packed mint leaves, fresh lime juice, white rum, and cooled simple syrup.
  8. Add the ice cubes (about 4 cups, or adjust to your desired slushiness).
  9. Blend on high speed until smooth and slushy. Stop to scrape down the sides if needed.
  10. Taste and adjust sweetness with more simple syrup if desired, then blend again.
  11. Pour the blended mojito mixture into glasses, filling them about three-quarters full.
  12. Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime wedge on the rim.
  13. Optionally, rim the glasses with sugar by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it in sugar.
  14. Enjoy your frozen mojitos with a straw or spoon.
  15. Perfect for summer days, backyard barbecues, or festive occasions. Feel free to add fruits like strawberries or mango for a fruity twist.
  16. Drink responsibly and savor the refreshing taste!
  17. Store any leftover frozen mojito mixture in an airtight container in the freezer. Stir or blend again before serving.
  18. For best results, consume within a week to maintain flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness of the mojito by varying the amount of simple syrup.
