Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pre-made pizza dough
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 2 cups fresh spinach, roughly chopped
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Place a pizza stone in the oven to preheat or lightly grease a baking sheet with olive oil or line it with parchment paper.
- On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to about 1/4 inch thickness. If the dough is too elastic, let it rest for a few minutes before rolling again.
- Carefully transfer the rolled-out dough to your prepared pizza stone or baking sheet.
- Heat olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in cooked chicken and chopped spinach, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the spinach wilts. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Remove from heat.
- In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until smooth.
- Spread the ricotta mixture evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Evenly distribute the sautéed chicken and spinach mixture over the cheese layer.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top.
- If desired, sprinkle red pepper flakes over the pizza.
- Place the assembled pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Monitor the pizza during the last few minutes of baking. Cover edges with aluminum foil if they brown too quickly.
- Carefully remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes before slicing.
- Slice the pizza into wedges, typically 8 slices.
- Tear fresh basil leaves and sprinkle them over the top for added flavor.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or a side salad.
