Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup brewed coffee (cooled)
- 1 cup milk (whole, skim, or your favorite non-dairy alternative)
- 2 tablespoons caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
- 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, adjust to taste)
- Ice cubes
- Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Prepare the Coffee: Brew 1 cup of your favorite coffee and let it cool to room temperature. If you’re in a hurry, chill it in the fridge.
- Sweeten the Coffee: Taste the cooled coffee. If desired, add sugar to taste (about 1 tablespoon is recommended).
- Prepare the Milk: In a separate container, combine the milk and 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce. Whisk until the caramel is fully dissolved.
- Assemble the Latte: Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Pour the cooled coffee over the ice.
- Add the Caramel Milk: Slowly pour the caramel milk mixture over the coffee to create a layered effect.
- Top with Whipped Cream: If desired, add whipped cream on top for extra creaminess.
- Drizzle with Caramel: Finish by drizzling extra caramel sauce over the whipped cream.
- Stir and Serve: Give the latte a gentle stir to combine flavors, then serve immediately with a straw or long spoon.
Notes
- Coffee Choice: Experiment with different coffee roasts to find your favorite flavor.
- Milk Alternatives: Non-dairy milks vary in texture; oat milk is creamier, while almond milk is thinner.
- Caramel Sauce: Store-bought is convenient, but homemade caramel adds a personal touch.
- Flavor Variations: Consider adding vanilla extract or a sprinkle of cinnamon for an extra flavor boost.
