  • Author: Maria
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings (about 2 quarts) 1x

Description

This Iced Passion Tea Lemonade is a refreshing blend of tangy lemon juice and vibrant passion tea, perfect for quenching your thirst on hot summer days. Sweetened to taste, it’s served over ice and garnished with fresh lemon slices and mint leaves for an extra touch of flavor. Enjoy this delightful drink chilled, and feel free to customize it with berries or a splash of sparkling water!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 Passion Tea bags (recommended: Tazo Passion Tea)
  • 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 4 cups cold water (for dilution)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh lemon slices (for garnish)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by boiling 4 cups of water in a medium-sized pot. Filtered water is recommended for the best flavor.
  2. Once the water reaches a rolling boil, remove it from the heat and add the 4 Passion Tea bags, ensuring they are well submerged.
  3. Let the tea steep for about 5-7 minutes. Be cautious not to steep too long to avoid bitterness.
  4. After steeping, remove the tea bags and stir in 1 cup of sugar while the tea is still warm to help it dissolve completely. Adjust sugar to taste.
  5. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, or speed up the process by placing it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  6. While the tea cools, squeeze fresh lemons until you have 1 cup of lemon juice. Rolling the lemons on the counter before cutting helps release more juice.
  7. Strain the lemon juice through a fine mesh sieve to remove any seeds or pulp (optional).
  8. In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice with 4 cups of cold water and stir well.
  9. Once the tea has cooled, pour it into the pitcher with the lemonade mixture and stir gently to combine.
  10. Taste the Iced Passion Tea Lemonade. If it’s too strong, add more cold water to dilute. If you prefer it sweeter, add more sugar and stir well to dissolve.
  11. Fill a glass with ice cubes (large ice cubes are recommended to prevent quick dilution).
  12. Pour the Iced Passion Tea Lemonade over the ice, filling the glass about three-quarters full.
  13. Garnish with a slice of fresh lemon on the rim and a few mint leaves if desired.
  14. Repeat for additional servings and enjoy!
