Korean Strawberry Milk: A Deliciously Creamy Treat You Need to Try

  • Author: Maria
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 2-3 servings 1x

Description

Enjoy a refreshing homemade Korean Strawberry Milk, blending fresh strawberries with creamy milk for a sweet and delightful drink. Perfectly chilled and optionally topped with whipped cream, it’s a treat for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup milk (whole, almond, or your preferred type)
  • 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • Ice cubes (optional, for serving)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly under cold water. Hull the strawberries by removing the green tops and slice them into quarters or smaller pieces.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and sugar. Toss gently to coat the strawberries evenly with sugar. Let them sit for about 10-15 minutes to release their juices.
  3. After the strawberries have released their juices, mash them with a fork for a chunky texture or blend them in a blender for a smoother consistency.
  4. In a separate bowl or pitcher, pour in the milk. If using sweetened condensed milk, add it now and stir until well combined.
  5. Pour the strawberry puree into the milk mixture (or add the mashed strawberries directly). Stir gently to combine, creating a beautiful pink color throughout the drink.
  6. If desired, fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the strawberry milk mixture over the ice. Top with whipped cream and garnish with fresh strawberry slices or a drizzle of strawberry syrup.
  7. Grab a straw or spoon and enjoy your homemade strawberry milk! Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, stirring before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to experiment with different types of milk such as almond, oat, or coconut for unique flavors.
  • Add a splash of vanilla extract or a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavor.
  • For a milkshake version, blend in a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  • You can also mix in other fruits like bananas or blueberries for a fruity twist.
