  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

Enjoy a refreshing No Added Sugar Margarita that blends fresh lime and orange juice with a fizzy twist. This light and zesty cocktail is perfect for any occasion, offering a guilt-free way to indulge in a classic drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz tequila (preferably 100% agave)
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
  • 1 oz fresh orange juice (about half an orange)
  • 1 oz sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Salt for rimming the glass (optional)
  • Lime wedges for garnish
  • Orange slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. If you like a salted rim, take a lime wedge and run it around the rim of your glass to moisten it. Dip the rim into a small plate of salt for an even coating. Set aside.
  2. Cut the lime in half and squeeze out the juice into a measuring cup (about 1 oz). Cut the orange in half and squeeze out the juice into the same measuring cup (about 1 oz).
  3. In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, fresh lime juice, and fresh orange juice. Fill the shaker with ice cubes and secure the lid. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
  4. Fill your prepared glass with fresh ice cubes. Strain the margarita mixture from the shaker into the glass over the ice. Top with 1 oz of sparkling water or club soda.
  5. Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim and an optional orange slice for color. For an aromatic touch, add a sprig of fresh mint.
  6. Sip and enjoy the refreshing taste of your margarita, appreciating the balance of natural sweetness from the orange juice and the tartness of the lime.

Notes

  • For a fruity twist, add a splash of fresh fruit puree (like mango or strawberry).
  • For a spicier kick, muddle a few slices of jalapeño in the shaker before adding the other ingredients.
  • If you prefer a sweeter drink, consider adding a few drops of liquid stevia or agave syrup, but this recipe is designed to be sugar-free.
