Description
Enjoy a refreshing No Added Sugar Margarita that blends fresh lime and orange juice with a fizzy twist. This light and zesty cocktail is perfect for any occasion, offering a guilt-free way to indulge in a classic drink.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 oz tequila (preferably 100% agave)
- 1 oz fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
- 1 oz fresh orange juice (about half an orange)
- 1 oz sparkling water or club soda
- Ice cubes
- Salt for rimming the glass (optional)
- Lime wedges for garnish
- Orange slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- If you like a salted rim, take a lime wedge and run it around the rim of your glass to moisten it. Dip the rim into a small plate of salt for an even coating. Set aside.
- Cut the lime in half and squeeze out the juice into a measuring cup (about 1 oz). Cut the orange in half and squeeze out the juice into the same measuring cup (about 1 oz).
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, fresh lime juice, and fresh orange juice. Fill the shaker with ice cubes and secure the lid. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
- Fill your prepared glass with fresh ice cubes. Strain the margarita mixture from the shaker into the glass over the ice. Top with 1 oz of sparkling water or club soda.
- Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim and an optional orange slice for color. For an aromatic touch, add a sprig of fresh mint.
- Sip and enjoy the refreshing taste of your margarita, appreciating the balance of natural sweetness from the orange juice and the tartness of the lime.
Notes
- For a fruity twist, add a splash of fresh fruit puree (like mango or strawberry).
- For a spicier kick, muddle a few slices of jalapeño in the shaker before adding the other ingredients.
- If you prefer a sweeter drink, consider adding a few drops of liquid stevia or agave syrup, but this recipe is designed to be sugar-free.
