Oreo Mocha Frappe: The Ultimate Guide to Making It at Home

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Description

Creamy, decadent Oreo Mocha Frappe! This easy blended drink combines coffee, milk, chocolate, and Oreo cookies for a refreshing treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 15 Oreo cookies, divided (plus extra for garnish, if desired)
  • 2 cups strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 cup milk (any kind works, I prefer whole milk for richness)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups ice cubes (or more, depending on desired thickness)
  • Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
  • Chocolate shavings, for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Oreo Crumbs: Separate 10 Oreo cookies, twisting the wafers from the cream filling. Crush the wafers in a food processor or zip-top bag until finely crumbled. Set aside.
  2. Blend the Frappe: In a high-powered blender, combine cooled coffee, milk, chocolate syrup, sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and the remaining 5 Oreo cookies (including the cream filling).
  3. Add Ice: Add 2 cups of ice cubes (or more for desired thickness).
  4. Blend Until Smooth: Blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy. Adjust with more milk if too thick, or more ice if too thin.
  5. Incorporate Oreo Crumbs: Add half of the Oreo crumbs to the blender and pulse a few times to incorporate, leaving some crumbly texture.
  6. Assemble and Garnish: Pour into two tall glasses. Top with whipped cream (optional), sprinkle with remaining Oreo crumbs, and add chocolate shavings (optional). Garnish with a whole Oreo cookie on the rim (optional).
  7. Serve Immediately: Enjoy your Oreo Mocha Frappe right away!

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • Use different types of milk (almond, soy, oat) for variations.
  • Add a shot of espresso for a mocha boost.
  • Make it vegan with plant-based milk and vegan whipped cream/chocolate syrup.
  • Experiment with different Oreo flavors or extracts.
  • For an adult version, add coffee or chocolate liqueur.
  • A pinch of salt can enhance the flavors.
  • Can be blended ahead of time and stored in the freezer for up to an hour.
