This Passion Fruit Tea is a refreshing blend of sweet and tangy flavors, perfect for warm days. Made with dried passion fruit leaves or fresh fruits, it’s not only delicious but also offers health benefits. Enjoy it chilled over ice, garnished with fresh mint for an extra touch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons of dried passion fruit leaves (or 45 fresh passion fruits)
  • 12 tablespoons of honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (optional)
  • Ice cubes (for serving)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.
  2. Once the water is boiling, add the dried passion fruit leaves or the pulp of fresh passion fruits.
  3. Let the mixture steep for about 10-15 minutes, covering the pot with a lid to retain heat.
  4. After steeping, strain the tea into a pitcher using a fine mesh strainer.
  5. While the tea is still warm, stir in 1-2 tablespoons of honey, adjusting the sweetness to your preference.
  6. If desired, add a tablespoon of lemon juice for a zesty kick.
  7. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature before refrigerating it. Chill for at least an hour.
  8. Fill tall glasses with ice cubes for a refreshing presentation.
  9. Pour the chilled passion fruit tea over the ice, filling the glasses about three-quarters full.
  10. Add a few fresh mint leaves on top for an elegant touch.
  11. Serve immediately and enjoy the delightful combination of sweet, tangy, and refreshing flavors.
