- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled (dark roast preferred)
- 1/4 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or honey, agave, or sweetener of choice)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Ice cubes
- Optional toppings: whipped cream, chocolate shavings, peanut butter drizzle, chopped peanuts
Instructions
- Soften the Peanut Butter: In a small microwave-safe bowl, microwave the peanut butter for 10-15 seconds until slightly softened. Alternatively, place the jar in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes.
- Combine with Sweetener and Vanilla: Add the maple syrup (or sweetener) and vanilla extract to the softened peanut butter. Stir well until smooth. Add a pinch of salt.
- Combine Coffee and Milk: In a blender, pour in the cooled coffee and milk.
- Add the Peanut Butter Mixture: Add the peanut butter mixture to the blender.
- Blend Until Smooth: Secure the lid and blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy (30-60 seconds). Scrape down the sides if needed.
- Taste and Adjust: Taste and adjust sweetness or peanut butter flavor as needed. Add more milk if too thick.
- Fill a Glass with Ice: Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the Cold Brew Over Ice: Carefully pour the blended cold brew over the ice.
- Add Toppings (Optional): Add your favorite toppings, such as whipped cream, chocolate shavings, peanut butter drizzle, or chopped peanuts.
- Enjoy Immediately!
