1 bag (about 48) Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped

  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bag (about 48) Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and peppermint extract until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg.
  3. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  4. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
  5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned.
  6. Immediately press a peppermint kiss candy into the center of each cookie.
  7. Remove to wire racks to cool.
