Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of thinly sliced ribeye steak
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 slices of provolone cheese
- 12 slider buns (preferably soft, like Hawaiian rolls)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Start by heating the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. A cast-iron skillet works best for a nice sear.
- Add the thinly sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until soft and slightly caramelized, stirring occasionally.
- Season the ribeye steak with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, ensuring an even coating.
- Push the cooked vegetables to the side and add the seasoned ribeye steak to the center. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Mix the onions and peppers back into the skillet with the steak. Drizzle Worcestershire sauce over the mixture and stir well. Cook for an additional minute to meld the flavors.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms connected.
- Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- If using, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on the bottom halves of the buns.
- Spoon the steak and vegetable mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the buns.
- Lay the slices of provolone cheese over the steak mixture.
- Carefully place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese and press down gently.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with a pinch of salt and brush it over the tops of the slider buns.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil to keep the sliders moist while baking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes to melt the cheese and warm the buns.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the tops are golden brown and crispy.
- Let the sliders cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to customize the toppings with your favorite condiments or additional vegetables.
- For extra flavor, consider adding sautéed mushrooms or jalapeños to the steak mixture.
