- 2 cups raisins
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Pastry for single-crust pie (9 inches)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
- In a saucepan, combine raisins, water, sugar, flour, butter, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour filling into pie crust.
- Cover with top crust, cut vents, and crimp edges to seal.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
